  • Blended Learning

UUM is offering the DBA off-campus. The topics, designed to be relevant for today's executives, are delivered in a unique blended model that employs the Internet with the added advantage of face to face lectures. Learning delivery of the Corporate Seminar Series is powered by a customised learning management system, a community enhanced learning centre, and optionally, CD-ROM's for each topic. Lectures facilitated by the UUM teaching faculty provide insightful learning experiences that are also supported via the Internet. Designed to accommodate part-time adult learners, the DBA uses a new delivery model for teaching the post-graduate degree program. Blending e-learning with traditional classroom teaching in a hybrid model, as used in the MBA program is taught using adult oriented learning where learner independence ranks high in priority and support is provided as and when it's needed. Each subject has 36 contact hours with the UUM teaching faculty and with support driven by a Learning Management System and the Learning Centre for the remaining 6 credit hours fulfilling UUM's mandated 42 contact hours per course.
